GT Draft analysis

So only two players got drafted:

Calvin Johnson, 1st Round, 2nd Overall to Detroit
Mansfield Wrotto, 4th Round to Seattle

I must eat my crow because I thought Wrotto would be the odd one out when draft day ended, but Seattle must have seen a lot of potential in a player who has only played on the offensive line for 2 years...and who weighs in at 6-3, 317. I just thought he was a little soft for a trench position, but I was wrong.

Not a shock that Kenny Scott was not drafted, as I think his personality issues definitely turned teams away from him.

Joe Anoai and KaMichael Hall were both victims of the 'they don't fit the mold' mentality of the NFL. Both of them apparently took it pretty hard, especially KaMichael.

The players signed as free agents or invited as non-roster invitees:

Joe Anoai signed with Minnesota
KaMichael Hall signed with Indianapolis
George Cooper signed with Detroit
Michael Matthews signed with NY Giants
Reggie Ball invited to Detroit mini-camp
Kenny Scott invited to Tampa Bay mini-camp

Interesting that Tech played in the ACC championship, yet had such low draft numbers.
